I started my BcS in Informatics at UiT in the fall of 2024, and aim to have completed a Masters degree by the spring of 2029.
I started my own company in august 2024, at first as a side-hustle to have some income while studying, today we are three employees with a large roster of profesional clients.
at Torsk Development we create templates and solutions for enterprise clients inside the Office ecosystem. This is a spiritual succsessor to my previous employer, which was unfortunately sold off to a foreign competitor.
A handfull of sporadic jobs have come up while studying at UiT, These include everything from administrative project based positions, to part time roles in education.
For half a decade, from early '20 til late '24 i worked as a consultant and systems developer for OfficeConsult. and gradually built up not only my technical experience but also my ability to interact with, disect and manage large scale comercial projects. From brand-identity management solutions to internal tooling and customized reporting-software.
Like ~7500 other youth in 2017 i went to FHS, specifically i went to Mandal to attend SKAP FHS, and spent the following year deepdiving into computers, electronics, robotics and programming. the year was a clear and concise bridge between my previous very pragmatic hands on experience in industrial automation, and my future work in consulting and development of comercial software systems.
* Folk high schools have a big presence in the Nordic countries, but are relatively unknown in the rest of the world. The pedagogical focus is on the students’ motivation. We believe that you learn the most if you want to learn. As part of the pedagogical arrangement, you live at the school around the clock, together with your fellow students. source
